Summer Internship – Rancho Bernalejo – Leon, Mexico

Job Description:
Located in the beautiful mountains of Mexico, Rancho Bernalejo is currently offering 5 summer internship positions for students to aid in the caring and raising of multiple species of deer. The student would gain knowledge in all aspects of raising deer such as: total care of fawn from newborn to weaning, preparing and administering medications, sterilization of fawn facilities, record keeping, feeding, handling, bottle preparation, as well as overall herd and facility maintenance. Each individual would also be exposed to the differences within the culture of Mexico and have the opportunity to become more familiar with the local language. Looking for students with good observational and medical skills, patience when handing animals, motivated with a good work ethic and someone with a nice attitude that can follow direction and work well with others.

Qualifications:
Pursuing Veterinary, Pre-Veterinary, or Animal Science degree **Must have Passport**

Dates:
May 20th-Weaning (dates may be flexible depending on universities schedule)

Salary:
$1000 (to be paid at the end of the summer) FULL room and boarding accommodations provided throughout internship. (ie; food, housing, laundry, personal toiletries, etc)
